On Tuesday 25th June 2024, we held our first Robotics Symposium, hosted by The North of England Robotics Innovation Centre (NERIC) – a hub of innovation in robotics. We were excited to bring together businesses, researchers, and entrepreneurs for a unique experience. The symposium provided the perfect opportunity for students, researchers, and industry professionals to expand their knowledge and connect with like-minded individuals.
The conference themes included Industrial Automation & Advanced Robotics Manufacturing presented by Prof. William Holderbaum, Healthcare Technology by Dr. Guowu Wei, Intelligent Mobility and Transport by Prof. Mary He, and Innovation & Future Technology by Prof. Maziar Nezhad.
The event featured several key highlights, including a keynote speech by Prof. Kaspar Althoefer from Queen Mary University of London, numerous networking opportunities, presentations of cutting-edge research, and a tour of the NERIC facility. The conference was chaired by Prof. Wei Yao.
