Yetti’s Kitchen is a Nigerian/Caribbean restaurant providing food for dining-in, takeaway and catering for businesses, flights and events.
The Challenge
Founder of the business Yetti Tabai approached us to explore how robotics and automation could enhance their in-person dining experience with the focus being on how to prepare food effectively and efficiently. Improving efficiency would allow them to effectively manage the volume of deliveries they receive through various delivery platforms.
The Solution
Our experts recommended a conceptual automation system to complete some of the food creation towards the end of the process. Market research was conducted into functionality, indicative cost, sizes, productivity and scalability for potential solutions at different stages in the process, with a focus on combining the processes. Our research also looked at off-the-shelf capability in addition to more bespoke solutions. Yetti’s Kitchen now has an awareness of the different types of robotics systems including industrial and collaborative and the benefits they offer. We are continuing to work together to explore further concepts and spatial modelling that can be introduced to the business.
“Working with NERIC has allowed my small business to dream and execute too. They were very attentive and involved in making innovative changes that have transformed the business and we are already seeing a difference. I would highly recommend them.”
